Season 1 — the episode map

65 weekday episodes · 3 Saturday streams · Oct 11, 2026 – Jan 08, 2027

Generated by scripts/season_map.py. Change the season start and every date below re-dates itself.

The shape

One 4-4-5 runs everything. It is the fiscal calendar the brands' content is planned on, it is the marketing calendar campaigns are placed and reported on, and it is the competition. A retail quarter is 4+4+5 weeks; the rounds are 4+4+5.

So a month closing is not three separate events that happen to coincide. It is one event: a campaign reports, a pay period closes, and someone goes home — on the same Saturday, for the same reason. Nobody is learning a broadcast rhythm and a work rhythm separately, because there is only one rhythm.

It also means the show cannot drift from the business. An elimination is judged on the month that just closed, using the numbers that month produced.

The terminal is the set

The work is headless — terminal only. There are no dashboards to point at and no slides. What the audience watches is a screen where gates pass green and fail red, and where a mistake is visible the moment it is made. The daily format is built around that rather than working around it.

Counterparts

CounterpartThe friction
Technical OperatorCreative LeadOne builds, one judges. The gate says pass; the Creative Lead says it is still wrong.
ProducerExecutive ManagerOne produces, one approves. The Producer cannot self-approve, ever.

Wednesday is the crossover — each does the other's job, on camera, badly. It is the anti-helplessness check and it is the best television of the week.

The weekly spine

A sprint is two weeks and it is exactly the pay period. Week A opens it, week B ships it.

What every episode yields

Decided once so nobody re-decides it weekly. The live broadcast is the source; these four are the product.

Week 1 — Cold open

Round 1 · sprint 1 (opens the sprint) · 12 on air

The machine, the brands, and the first authored cell. Everyone says what they think the job is — on the record, to be replayed in week 13.

Week 2 — Everything gets checked

Round 1 · sprint 1 (ships the sprint) · 12 on air

The gates. Twelve people discover that “I think it’s fine” is not a state the system recognises.

Week 3 — Two brands, opposite rules

Round 1 · sprint 2 (opens the sprint) · 12 on air

The same engine on both brands. Copy that is safe for one is a violation for the other, and the room finds out live.

The Saturday streams

Three of them. They are a different programme from the weekdays — longer, structured, and the only episodes where anything is decided.

  • Elimination 1 — Sat Nov 07, 2026 (end of week 4) · 3 → 2 per track. Four people leave.
  • Elimination 2 — Sat Dec 05, 2026 (end of week 8) · 2 → 1 per track. Four people leave.
  • Finale — Sat Jan 09, 2027 (end of week 13) · 1 per track. Nobody is cut. The season is settled.

Run of show — elimination night

BlockLengthWhat
Cold open5 minThe round in one cut. What shipped, what broke, what it cost.
The record25 minPer track: registry entries executed, gates passed, work published. Read from the system, on screen. Not opinion — output.
Defence40 minEach participant gets the floor. Ten minutes: what you built, what you would do again, what you got wrong.
Counterpart testimony20 minYour counterpart speaks. They are not asked to be kind; they are asked to be accurate.
Deliberation25 minExecutive Managers and the Chairman, on air, against the published criteria. Disagreement is broadcast, not edited out.
The cut15 minNamed directly, told why, thanked. They speak last if they want to.
Next round10 minNew rates take effect Monday. New scope. What changes.

Total ≈ 2h20m.

The rules of an elimination night

  • The record is read from the system, not from memory. Whatever the gates and the registry say is what is true. This is why nobody can be eliminated for a reason nobody can point at.
  • Nobody learns they are cut on air. They are told before the broadcast. What airs is the reason, not the surprise — a cut is a decision, not an ambush.
  • The counterpart speaks. It is the part everyone will remember, and it is the reason the pairing exists.
  • Deliberation is live. If the criteria cannot survive being argued in public, they were the wrong criteria.
  • They are paid through the period close. Both eliminations fall on a pay-period close, so nobody eliminated is ever paid a part-period.

Pay, and when it changes

Rates rise as the field narrows. Fewer people, more work each, more money each.

TrackRound 1Round 2Final
Technical Operator$150/wk$240/wk$456/wk
Creative Lead$125/wk$200/wk$380/wk
Producer$125/wk$200/wk$380/wk
Executive Manager$100/wk$160/wk$304/wk
  • Round 1 rates take effect Mon Oct 12, 2026 (week 1).
  • Round 2 rates take effect Mon Nov 09, 2026 (week 5).
  • Final rates take effect Mon Dec 07, 2026 (week 9).

Removal at any time

Elimination happens on the 4th Saturday. Removal does not wait for it.

A participant can be removed mid-round for the published immediate-removal reasons — harassment, sabotage of a broadcast, sharing credentials, publishing without sign-off, or anything that earns the channel a platform strike — or for repeated failure to deliver after a logged note and a written warning.

Work already delivered and acceptedPaid in full. Always.
The current pay periodProrated to the last day worked. This is the only case in the season that prorates — eliminations do not, because they fall on period closes.
The seatFilled from the ranked alternates, highest available first.
The replacement's rateThe current round's rate, not Round 1's.
Episodes they appear inStay up.

Why the alternate can start immediately: alternates sign at selection, not at call-up. A substitution is limited by someone's availability, never by their paperwork.
